ECCO Environmental Charity · Since 1995
Helping people.
Reducing waste.
ECCO is an environmental charity based in Harlow, supporting local people and projects since 1995. Through our three reuse shops, we give donated furniture and household goods a second life, making them affordable for others while reducing waste. We also fund local work, from outdoor learning in schools to growing projects and support for families facing hardship.

Our impact
What we’ve been doing
Here are a few examples of the work your donations and purchases help us support.

Outdoor learning
We help schools give children more time outdoors, learning about plants, wildlife and the world around them.

Harlow Foodbank
Together with our customers, we’ve donated £10,000 to Harlow Foodbank. We match the money raised from donated DVDs, CDs and records.

Sunset Sessions
We organise Sunset Sessions, a free live music festival in Harlow Town Park, with local musicians and established bands.

Our story
About ECCO
ECCO started in Harlow in 1995. We help people find affordable furniture and household goods, keep reusable items out of waste, and fund projects in our local area.
Our time at Parndon Wood
For over a decade, ECCO managed and funded Parndon Wood Nature Reserve, helping schools and families enjoy outdoor learning, wildlife and seasonal activities.
We still support schools and projects that help people spend time outdoors.
